Another restaurant quandary: Eat or send back?

Two women were seated next to each other at separate tables along a banquette. A food runner delivered what appeared to be a fried chicken sandwich to the woman on the left. She looked at it but didn’t touch it.

A minute or so later, the server came out.

“I don’t think this is my sandwich," she told him.

“I don’t think so either,” he said, and picked up the plate and placed it on the table in front of the woman on the right and walked away.

The woman on the right made a face that said: Wait, what? She sat there regarding the sandwich for a while as if deciding whether she should...

A) Eat it. It hadn't been sitting on the wrong table for long, after all, and hadn't been touched.

B) Send it back. It had been placed in front of another person during a pandemic and was no longer fresh out of the kitchen.

What should she have done?

I'll tell you what she actually did after you all weigh in.

Readers, she finally ate the sandwich. Probably didn’t help that the server didn’t come back for a long time.

Send it back, if only to be reheated.

The woman on the right ordered it. The woman on the left was delivered it at first, and then the server moved it to the other table.
